A Class 2 pharmacy level medicines recall has been issued by the Medicines & Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) for certain batches of Sayana® Press suspension for injection 104mg/0.65ml.

Pharmacists and pharmacy teams are advised to quarantine remaining stock of the affected batches and return them to their supplier/wholesaler in line with agreed processes – this stock should not be returned to Pfizer Limited directly. Pfizer Limited will credit returns of all affected products provided these are received from the original delivery address – please read the alert in full for details of returns, credits and relevant time-frames for returns.
