A medical device alert has been issued by the Medicines & Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) for affected LOT numbers of Accu-Chek Aviva, Accu-Chek Performa and Accu-Chek Inform II test strips. Affected test strips carry a risk of increased strip error messages prior to dosing and, in some cases false readings which may be difficult to detect.

A list of the affected LOT numbers can be found in Appendix A of the urgent field safety notice.
